You get a new website, hire a professional copywriter, a branding coach, a marketing guru, join a mastermind program, and get mentored by some of coaching’s finest. And all you end up with is $30,000 of debt! That time, energy and money haven’t generated the results you wanted.
That was the story of someone I was speaking to recently. She was frustrated because she had done everything “they” say to make a business successful. But she knew what went wrong when she said this:
“I spent all this money trying to build my business, but what I failed to work on was my mindset.”
Dang. $30,000 that was sort of wasted because SHE wasn’t able to be right as a business owner. While she had her new website and fancy branding, she still reverted to her old patterns of hiding out and under-charging. She couldn’t do the visibility strategies her coach recommended because of the little gremlins in her head telling her that no one would probably buy anyway, so why bother.
You may see yourself in her story. This is not meant to come from shame or blame, but only to let you know that if you haven’t achieved the level of success you know you should IN SPITE of providing great service and working your butt off…..keep reading!
In the next few posts, I’ll discuss the 5 Entrepreneurial Mindset Traps that you must shift in order to really have a business that makes you happy….(and profitable!) In the next few weeks, we’ll also cover the solutions.

I wonder how many women entrepreneurs feel the same way? I know I do. I think I’m doing things right, but it’s my mindset which keeps me from moving forward.
Looking forward to the next mindset articles.
